While the much anticipated Gonski Review into school funding could provide the Government with ammunition to change recurrent funding to the independent school sector other considerations will impact on Ms Gillard’s electoral ability and political motivation to trigger major funding changes.
Those considerations hinge on a fundamental tenet of politics – her ability to gain re-election in 2013.
